About the Role
We are looking for a meticulous and results-driven Finance and Compliance Manager to oversee DineMates’ financial operations and regulatory compliance from our Amsterdam headquarters. In this critical role, you will ensure the company’s financial health and adherence to all local and international legal standards, while supporting our operations in Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan.
Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
Ensure compliance with local and international tax regulations and corporate governance requirements.
Develop and implement financial policies, controls, and procedures to optimize financial performance and mitigate risks.
Monitor cash flow and manage relationships with banks, investors, and other financial stakeholders.
Conduct audits and ensure accurate financial records are maintained.
Provide financial insights and reports to the leadership team for strategic decision-making.
Oversee payroll processes for international teams in Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan.
Stay updated on financial regulations and ensure compliance with relevant laws in all operating regions.
Collaborate with external legal and tax advisors to address compliance issues and opportunities.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; a Master’s degree or professional qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is a plus.
Proven experience in financial management, compliance, or accounting roles, preferably in an international setting.
Strong knowledge of financial regulations, tax laws, and corporate compliance standards in the EU.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar platforms).
Exceptional communication skills in English; additional languages (e.g., Dutch, Russian, or Azerbaijani) are an advantage.
Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Experience in managing finances for international teams or cross-border operations is highly desirable.
